Tra-la-la…Rum-tum-tiddle-um-tum
I love a good children’s book! And The Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh is one of my favorites.
The stories are full of old-fashioned wit and wisdom.
From the humming of the “Slightly rotund, Bear of very little brain, but very generous heart” to the entertaining personality mix of his companions,
the memorable but silly sayings and songs speak of the simplicity and delights of childhood imagination.
Eating sweets, playing with or helping friends, and having birthday parties are the main priorities of these cast of characters,
brought to life years ago by the distinguished storyteller, A.A. Milne (and Christopher Robin).
The images I am sharing today were taken on a very blustery spring day. We had such bursts of wind and sunshine that I worried
we may not have captured the best interaction between this sweet brother and sister pair.
But not so…tra-la-la…we had, as Piglet would say, “many happy returns of the day.” Hope you enjoy!

“Think it over, think it under,” (all quotes) by A.A. Milne.

“What day is it?” asked Pooh. “It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. “My favorite day,” said Pooh.

“Sometimes,” said Pooh, “the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”

“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”

“Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you think.”

“Some people talk to animals. Not many listen though. That’s the problem.”

“The things that make me different are the things that make me.”

“How do you spell love?” asked Piglet. “You don’t spell it…you feel it,” said Pooh.

“We will be friends forever.. just you wait and see.”
