Valentines Day Chattanooga Photography

What do those Little Valentine Candies Mean?

 Love this lesson I saw on Facebook this week…reference was RiverKidz at RiverChurch Chattanooga.

Can’t wait to go over this with my daughter today! Hope you enjoy the lesson!

(I have included a few images from my daughter’s Valentine mini-photoshoot).

What some of those candies might mean:

You’re Mine – John 10:29 My Father, who has given them to me is greater than anyone. No one can steal them out of my Father’s hand

True Love – John 3:16 God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son. Anyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life.

Love Me – Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and will all your soul. Love him with all your strength.

Forever True – Isaiah 40:8 The grass dries up. The flowers fall to the ground. But what our God says will stand forever.

Call Me/Text Me – Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call me and I will answer you and tell you great unsearchable things you do not know

Always – Matthew 28:20 And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age

Sweet Talk – Psalm 119:103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth

Senior year is such an important time in your life, and you and your parents will want it well documented.

Great quote to remember for anyone who is getting photographed!

I will be the first to admit that I would rather be behind the camera than in front of it.

But I promise I will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable and at ease…we might even have a bit of fun!

BE TRUE

If you are a high school senior or junior or parent of one, then you have probably had at least 50 people ask you already,

“Where are you going to college and what will be your major.”

Like…”Hey, no pressure, but have you gotten your entire life figured out yet?”

Trust me…these are well meaning people who are really just interested in your life.

They don’t expect you to have all the answers yet.

Originals Are Priceless | Chattanooga Photography

Valued and Loved

“A masterpiece original is signed by the artist. It is valuable because of who painted it. So is your son or daughter…

After all, they are signed by THE Artist.”

I really needed to read this today, so I am glad I picked up the parenting book by Ron Hutchcraft.

I surely don’t mean for this to turn into a parenting blog, but the photo below seemed to fit what was on my mind today.

It seemed to show the thrill of a precious, trusting child being totally valued and loved exactly AS they are…

And for WHO they are…not based on ability or appearance, but solely on their value in God.

I want my kids to know their intrinsic value based who God says they are, so they will be firmly rooted in our Creator.

I want to remember to record on their life-tape that “God only does masterpieces.”

••I also wanted to add, (just in case my teenage son–that is, my awesome 18-year-old son–reads this and rolls his eyes in agony…)

even if I don’t always do such a great job at making sure my kids always feel like masterpieces, it is still my goal:).

“Oh Lord…You created my inmost being…I praise you, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made,” Psalm 139.

What To Wear For Your Winter Photo Session

All You Need Is Love & Chocolate

Winter can be a great time to do a photo shoot!

Just think…no annoying bugs or heat and humidity to deal with!

Some winter days are very refreshing in Chattanooga with the cool air,

especially if you are wearing layers.

Layers add style, just like the outfit below.

Bright or muted hats, scarves, gloves, or jackets also can be mixed and matched to

add lots of pop to the soft chocolate browns of a winter backdrop.

If you haven’t had your Senior portraits done yet

or just need some new family pics or child portraits,

this is still a great time to get them done! I would love to help!
